Sunday Evening GMRS Net
Our GMRS net takes place every Sunday at 6:00 PM. We typically monitor and take check-ins from the Downtown Mansfield "Bank Repeater", the South Mansfield Hanley Road repeater, and the Shiloh repeater.
- All licensed GMRS users are welcome to check in, no experience necessary.
- You can call in on any of the monitored repeaters and net control will work stations across all three systems.
- Primary monitored repeaters: Bank 462.650 / 141.3 PL, Hanley Road 462.550 / 67.0 PL, and Shiloh 462.600 / 107.2 PL.
- Net control will call for stations to check in by call sign or open groupings.
- After each round of check-ins, net control will call on each station individually to share comments, updates, or simply say hello.
- Check-ins are relayed to the Richland County ARES HAM net held Wednesdays at 8:00 PM on W8WE 146.94 via a HAM-GMRS liaison station.
This net is a great way to test your radio, meet other operators in the area, and stay informed. Whether you just want to say hello or you're new and listening in, you're always welcome.
How to Participate
- Be on frequency a few minutes before 6:00 PM on the Bank, Hanley Road, or Shiloh repeater.
- Listen for net control and wait for your call sign group or open check-ins.
- Check in with your call sign and first name, and share anything you'd like, or just say "checking in, no traffic."
If you're unsure how to check in or need help, you can also just call out after the net and someone will be glad to assist.
